XY Chart Adjust X axis max

  • What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?
    v10.0.2 free version, Ubuntu.

  • What are you trying to achieve?
Adjust the X axis on a XY chart panel to show a greater range so that values on the edge are not almost off the chart.

  • How are you trying to achieve it?
I attempted using the axis max and min overrides to have different values for the x and y axis. them to match there.

  • What happened?
The overrides on the y-axis work, the max and min are set properly there, but the x axis completely ignores the settings.

Nothing I do seems to get it to show a wider range, any advice would be appreciated, currently the scale can make it extremely unclear when on small time settings due to the points all being at the edge.

Hi - Similar problem with 10.0.3. A plot with only 2 x-axis values doesn’t display well because the points are right on the edge. Could you please add some default padding on the x-axis width?

Also - my x values are integers and while I can turn decimals off, I can’t currently find a way to restrict the axis to only show integer values. Thanks.

Facing the same issue, cannot adjust the X-axis limits. Only the Y-axis limits can be adjusted. I have tried using all the overrides and none of them work. Is this associated with the version of graphana?. I am using 10.2.0

I was able to get around the above issue by using the Scatter Plot instead of the XY plot

What version of Grafana did you use?
I am using version 10.4.2 and I don’t see the option of Scatter Plot.
