Roles for users revert to 'Viewer'

Hi
We have grafana installed 6.3.5 vial the Helm Prometheus-operator app
We have a persistent volume set up to maintain our users
Grafana is linked to our LDAP for authentication.

We’re trying to Elevate a user to ‘Editor’ so they can access ‘Explorer’
Browser set up

            Chrome: Logged in as admin (will do all the user admin work on this session)

            FF: Logged in as me

Initial set up

  • I am a ‘Viewer’ in the Main Organization
  • I elevate the role to “Editor”  this automatically saves

ON FF

  • Re-fresh the page, and I can see the explorer option

    HOWEVER upon logging out and logging back in, the option is gone and my role is back to Viewer

A colleague is also registered as a LDAP user but his permissions still persist!!!

Th problem seems to be in the ldap.tolm file
[[servers.group_mappings]]
#group_dn = “cn=admins,dc=grafana,dc=org”
group_dn = “*”
#org_role = “Admin”
org_role = “Viewer”

The Grafana organization database id, optional, if left out the default org (id 1) will be used

org_id = 1

Is there anyway we can configure servers.group_mappings so changes persist for a user?
