I’ve noticed some strange behaviour when using multi select that I’m hoping that someone has some insight into. Sometimes when changing another variable on the dashboard, my multi select variable will seem to retain the values of previously selected values. Furthermore, what’s strange is that it seems to retain the __value of what I’ve chosen and not the __label that I’m specifying as the datasource for the variable. I’m using the infinity datasource to query an api to get the value for the variables.
When you saved your dashboard previously, did you maybe tick the checkbox to save the variables as default?
Thanks for replying! I did not save the variables as default. I took a gif to make it a little clearer. I’m using the business variables plugin to make this a dropdown but this seems to happen with just the native multiple variable select. As you can see, I would just select one more rack and for some reason, the system would add in a bunch of previous numbers which seem to correspond to values that I put with my variables.
Another Strange part is that when I use the native dropdown again, then those numbers disapppear instantly
