Alert list in Stat view mode shows number of Alert rules in selected state(s). I wonder if there is a way to show number of instances of multidimensional alert?
I thought if I use empty custom grouping, it could work but unfortunately it does not. In List view mode with empty custom grouping, I see what I expected, ie. plain list, no grouping, and I would like in Stat view mode to see a number that corresponds to number of lines in the list.
Thank you.

Is there any way you could share a screenshot or a further description of what you’re referring to here? This might make it easier to see what kind of state you want to end up with and give suggestions; your question doesn’t quite have enough information there yet (maybe) for some folks to help.
Of course. I may not be using correct terminology, Grafana alerting is new to me. A rule can be firing multiple alert instances if there are multiple series matching the rule criteria. The Alert list, in Stat mode, shows the number of rules which have non-zero number of alert instances.
On a dashboard that I have that shows some aggregated statistics, I’d like to show the total number of alert instances.
Eg:
The stat value to be 3, since there are 2+1 alert instances.
