Customisation of the Absolute time range in Grafana

  • What Grafana version and what operating system are you using? Grafana v8.4.1 on
    Linux (ubuntu 20.04)

  • What are you trying to achieve? The absolute time range in Grafana is not adequate for our current needs, we need to remove the options now, today, several others. We want to add time ranges such as from the beginning of a month to the last day of the same month.

  • How are you trying to achieve it? We tried using the SQL queries and default Grafana options but nothing worked. In particular the boards are only affected by the absolute time range.

  • What happened? We could not modify the absolute time range.

  • What did you expect to happen? Be able to modify the absolute time range.

That’s not configurable.

But you can modify source:

and build own customized Grafana version.

Has anyone managed to successfully modify the ‘time range’ by editing the options.ts file? If so, I would really appreciate it if you could share how you did it. Thank you in advance!
