What I love on this forum:
- questions/topics with reproducible examples, so there is no need for any question/ping pong (which versions are you using, debug logs, config/logs properly formatted)
- when you say thank you and acknowledge that my advice helped or not (of course some prove of that is useful)
What I don’t love on this forum:
- questions/topics with minimal details, sorry, but I skipping them most of the time (I recommend https://stackoverflow.com/help/how-to-ask for better asking)
- direct mentions, sorry but my help is not mandatory - I’m not paid for that, so I would like to choose where/when to help
- sometime I use my crystal ball and I make a guess, but I hate it - random example of this bad topic with guess
- opinionated question (what’s the best) - each person has own “the best” based on their knowledge/experience/budget - random example of opinionated topic
- too broad topic, e.g. how to monitor product X/Y/Z with Grafana - topic which may need X minutes for proper answer, but OP spent 1 minute to ask - that’s very asymmetric relation for community support
Sorry, that I’m giving clue very often, not copy&paste solution, because time are money and community is huge with minimal number of active members - it’s expected that you make some effor and fix any syntax issues eventually and develop clue into final solution. Random topic example with provided clue only
