Better way to Organize Services On/Off Panel

  • What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?
    v9.4.7

  • What are you trying to achieve?
Trying to make a dashboard that shows the status of specific processes running on numerous systems. I would like to understand how to better organize and label this. I also noticed when I query Prometheus it says a system is running but in Grafana it does not, not sure why there is a difference.

  • How are you trying to achieve it?
Currently using prometheus to query the systems and visualize the data in Grafana. Using stat panel in Grafana.

  • Issues you are seeing?

  • How to add text or label so I know the top row is server 1 and the next row is Server 2?
  • Is there a better way to organize this or do I have to create 1 stats panel for each process for each server?
  • Using stat panels I had to put the server with the most processes to monitor at the top of the page because new panels would always go “up” so Server 2 couldn’t have more panels than Server 1 else they will “move” up to the upper row
  • When I query this in Prometheus it returns “1” but running the same query in Grafana shows 0. Unsure why this disparity is happening.

Add ROW. Pin your panels to the row.
