When creating a key–value variable against an Azure Monitor – Logs data source, the Kusto query returns two columns named __text and __value. However, template expansion for both ${application:__text} and ${application:__value} resolves to the __text column. The variable cannot return the actual value from __value.

How to solve this?

Syntax is different usualy:

It’s now working, if the result from the Kusto query contains the fields "text" and "value", I can access them using "__text" and "__value".
