Using remote grafana renderer with no anonymous access

I am using these instructions (Set up image rendering | Grafana documentation) to run a Grafana docker container and a Grafana Renderer remotely.

If anonymous access is allowed in grafana.ini, everything works correctly. However, when anonymous access is not allowed (which is what I need in production) the grafana-renderer cannot authenticate to Grafana in order to access the dashboards and render them.

I’ve been looking in the documentation but I see no mention of this problem, or of any ways to have the remote Grafana Renderer authenticate into Grafana.

How can this be solved?

I have the exact same issue.

There doesn’t seem to be any information about this even from external sources.

How are people getting remote image renderering working without anonymous access?
