Switching between dashboard while keeping the time range selection

I want to move from a one, long, dashboard to many smaller dashboards.
The problem, that every time a user switches from one dashboard to the other, the time range selection, and templates values - reset to default. This is annoying, as finding the relevant time range takes time. Am I’m doing it wrong?

You can go to dashboard setting and create links to the other dashboard, links can preserve time range and variables

Yes, this feature is now available. You can check a live demo by going to play.grafana.com and on the upper right corner of the Dashboard you see 2 dashboard links (currently they liked to external site)

But if you into Settings (click on the gear icon) → Links → New Link

there, you add a new link and point to either another Dashboard or an external website.

Also, here is the link to the documentation.

Now, for the 2nd part i.e. to preserve the time selection. You can use the option “Include current time range”.
