Sorting of stacked series in Time Series panel

Hi,

• What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?
  Grafana 8.5.9

• What are you trying to achieve?
  Have the stacked series in the visualization sorted in the same way as the legend is sorted

• How are you trying to achieve it?
  Create a Time Series panel with stacked series, have a table in the legend with some values (min, max, last, whatever, it doesn’t matter)
  Click on the header of a column

• What happened?
  The legend was sorted according to the values in the clicked column. Clicking again inverted the sort order and a third click removed the sorting.

• What did you expect to happen?
  That the stacking order in the visualization would be adapted according to the sort order of the legend (it was this way with the old Graph panel)

• Can you copy/paste the configuration(s) that you are having problems with?
  Just add a legend table to the “Stacked Lines” panel in the Grafana Playground: https://play.grafana.org/d/000000016/1-time-series-graphs?orgId=1 and play around with the sorting.

Is this feature going to be added back at some time?

i just tried that, working as expected in 8.3.0

Interesting. I hope that feature wasn’t removed intentionally?
In 8.5.9 it doesn’t work anymore…

Same problem here. I can sort the legend values, but the stacked graph order does not change, this used to move in sync, and is vital to my operation. Can we get back the old behavious?

Same here with 10.0.3. Does anyone have a workaround for this?
