Slack notification Grafana 9 not working

  • What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?

Grafana 9, containerized on Ubuntu server.

  • What are you trying to achieve?

Receive proper alert over slack channel.

  • How are you trying to achieve it?

I have created a connection to our Slack channel, and tested several slack templates.

  • What happened?

The notification are not working, they don’t display any data, and if we use the default, the content its illegible

  • What did you expect to happen?

Before we upgrade to Grafana latest version, we had a Notification Chanel were we configure the same for slack, now the same is no longer available, and the notifications are complex to be configure.

  • Can you copy/paste the configuration(s) that you are having problems with?

  • Did you receive any errors in the Grafana UI or in related logs? If so, please tell us exactly what they were.

I didn’t found any errors/issues after upgrading.

  • Did you follow any online instructions? If so, what is the URL?

I followed the Grafana documentation to upgrade through docker compose.

We have exactly the same problem, but with Google Chat. Before the upgrade, the alerts were nicely formatted. Now they look like your Grafana 9 screenshot, where all properties are just bundled together.
Hoping for help or a fix.

So a solution for this will be a downgrade, the main issue it’s on the v8.x.x were found security breaches and it is recommended to update to it latest version. Hope we get a hotfix soon. I’ve also reded the release notes for the newest version 9.0.2 but there is no mention to this behavior
