Performance data: How to enable metrics-generator for Tempo in Grafana Cloud

I have a client app with OpenTelemtry which is able to write to Tempo with an OpenTelemetry collector.
Now I want to get the APM data by using the metrics-generator. But I was not able to find how to enable in the Grafana cloud.
