Not able to see new alerting on Grafana 8

  • What Grafana version and what operating system are you using? 8.1.1 OSS

  • What are you trying to achieve? To use new alerts feature from Grafana 8

  • How are you trying to achieve it? Accessing to the alert menu from the left side

  • What happened? Not able to create alerts from there. Still have to use old system of creating the alert only from a Graph panel.

  • What did you expect to happen? Be able to use the new alert system shown on Grafana 8 presentation.

  • Can you copy/paste the configuration(s) that you are having problems with?

Yes, this was enabled.

I assume you also restarted your grafana server process?

If so, and if you still don’t see the new alerting, then your setting isn’t being picked up for some reason. Maybe check the Grafana logs during server start-up?
