Grafana 8+ explore logs panel missing

Hi Team

We have a really cool situation in grafana 7 with an elasticsearch datasource, that if you go to explore, and click on the logs button, you can see the logs panel and the logs streaming in. example

But ever since grafana 8, that button is missing in explore.

Is this by design? and if so, may i get some guidance on the new way seeing logs in explore.

Your guidance will be appreciated.

Hello @michaelcoetzee! We have removed the switch and you can now choose logs query in Query Editor by selecting Logs from the Metrics dropdown. See this:
