Disable Sanitize in tables

Hello,

I gope you are doing well. I am trying to display html code in a cell table. I used to be able to do it in the previous versions (6 or 7) but I am not able to find the option in the v10.

I tried to search in the documentation but I did not find anything. sorry if it is a duplicate.

Thank you!

  • What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?
    Ubuntu, Grafana 10

  • What are you trying to achieve?
    Display html code

  • How are you trying to achieve it?
trying to find the options for a specific column

Up to Grafana v9 you could use the “old” table panel. This table panel had loads of great features including sanatize html. It was one of the best and most customisable panels because of this.

The “new” table panel introduced in Grafana v7 (I think) had some good features that the old panel did not but lacked a lot of the features that made the old table panel so flexible.

I believe for Grafana v10 the old table panel was completely removed and without really any documentation to say it was being removed. e.g. the release notes have a “Breaking changes” section but it does not mention the removal of “table-old”. I think the removal of an entire panel really should be listed as a breaking change! Absolutely nothing I could see about this deprecation in the changelogs.

Personally I am now stuck at v9 forever as my dashboards require table-old.

I would love to know if it’s possible to add back table-old in the latest Grafana versions…
