Changing display name of query result

• What Grafana version and what operating system are you using? = 8.1

• What are you trying to achieve? =>
  I’m adding a new panel to existing dashboard. I need a table to change it’s value based on dropdown value.

• How are you trying to achieve it?
  I added a table panel. I’ve added 4 queries. Those are displayed as a dropdown values, just below the table.

• What happened?
  Everything works as expected. But display wise dropdown values are all the column names from query & I cannot see any way to customize it. E.g. Instead of “A,Customer Name, App Version, …” it should show only “A”

• Can you copy/paste the configuration(s) that you are having problems with?
  

  

• Did you receive any errors in the Grafana UI or in related logs? If so, please tell us exactly what they were. => No Error

• Did you follow any online instructions? If so, what is the URL? => Didn’t get any details there as well.

Welcome to the Grafana forum. It sounds like you want to simply rename the long-worded queries to something shorter, so that these appear in your table? If yes, then have you tried something like this? (see the Override happening in the right pane)
