I was wondering, why Zabbix does not have official support?
It is nevertheless an important project, stable, known and yet. I thank alexanderzobnin for his plugin but Zabbix deserves official, responsive support and the development of new features.
Prometheus was released later and has official support.
Is it in relation to Zabbix technology?
My guess, given that both Zabbix and Grafana are open source projects, is
simply that nobody who feels that both Zabbix and Grafana (and the combination
of the two) are important has come forward to put in the effort to make it
happen.
That’s not to say they aren’t important, but if something’s going to happen,
someone has to put in the time to make it happen.
That’s just how open source stuff works.
Most of it got started simply because someone thought “I really need something
to do X, and I can’t find it, so I’ll write it”.
