Value is missing from tooltip when Viz is Hidden

  • What are you trying to achieve? View Series in Tooltip only

  • How are you trying to achieve it? Is Overrides > Series > Hise in area > Legend Hidden, Viz Hidden, Tooltip not Hidden

  • What happened? Value not seen in tooltip

  • What did you expect to happen? Series and legend to not show but value to be in tooltip

This def sounds like it could be a bug. If you haven’t already, could you make an issue in the Grafana repo? :+1: :grafana:

Hi, I have the same problem, is there a task for this? I can not find it. Use Graphana 9.2.2 (now upgraded)

It happens with Barcharts as well as with Time Series Panels, maybe others are also affected.
I just added my screenshot from the Time Series Panels to the Github issue.

As workaround you can just hide it by changing a couple other parameters to make it invisible:

Good afternoon, still this issue exist. Is there any update in the meantime? The solution of @michaeluray is not suiteble for me since it will totally change the layout of my axis.

I would love if this where fixed so it doesn’t need a workaround though :wink:

Also: the workaround will still allow the mouse to snap to the invisible line, which is confusing since the user can’t see it ^^
