I have multiple filters like filters like namespace, sqlwatch, elasticsearch, prometheus enabled for different panels in a single dashboard. I want to get all results from different dashboard from one single filter. Is it possible??
Yes, this is possible using a Dashboard Variable.
Go to Dashboard settings → Variables → Add variable.
Create a variable such as $namespace.
Use the same variable in the queries of the panels that should respond to it →
SQL: WHERE namespace = '$namespace'
Prometheus: {namespace="$namespace"}
Elasticsearch: use $namespace in the appropriate field/filter for your query.
If the namespace field has different names in different data sources (for example, namespace, namespace.keyword, or k8s_namespace), you can still use the same dashboard variable; reference $namespace against the appropriate field in each query.
Changing $namespace in the dashboard will then update all panels whose queries use that variable.
