I have a scenario where I need to onboard 100 database servers in the DB zone to Grafana, which is located in the app zone. However, I would prefer not to open the firewall for all 100 servers. Is there a way to set up a proxy server that would allow access to all 100 servers with a single configuration? All servers are Microsoft SQL Server, and I’m using Grafana 9.4 on RHEL 8. I’ve read that a reverse proxy can facilitate this, but I don’t fully understand how it works. I would appreciate any guidance or advice on this matter.
