Hi
We’ve recently made the jump from Grafana 8 to 9 which means “Keep Last State” option is now gone, this was useful as we have an alert rule setup which may return no data for the entire window and go into NoData State, however once data arrives, the state changes to OK and an annotation is written to the panel.
The data passing through is very unpredictable so it is switching between NoData(OK) and OK quite often:
We have set NoData State to OK, I cannot see how else I can avoid the OK annotation.
I have the same issue, but the issue is if your alert is firing and you set OK, the pending time will restart and your alert will trigger again
Hi Michael,
I saw your post in the community. After migrating from Grafana 8 to 11 (Legacy Alerting → Grafana Alerting), I’ve also been struggling with frequent OK lines appearing when some data is missing, and I haven’t found a good way to resolve this behavior.
If you’ve found any improvements or solutions since then, I’d really appreciate it if you could share them.
Best regards,
wakitaya
