I would like to know the maximum limit that can be given to maxDuration and duration if any.

There isn’t a limit in OSS - although I would say that k6 isn’t meant to run for … months. Please see this issue with the comments about what you should probably do if you want to run with “infinite” duration.
If you run a cloud test there are limits depending on your plan. This is in order for there to be no mistakes, but also because long-running tests historically has been more in the realm of Synthetic Monitoring.
