Logs Panel with Elasticsearch

Hi folks, I’m trying to use the alpha logs panel introduced in 6.4.0-beta1 to look at logs from an Elasticsearch data source, but am struggling to get it working, has this combination been tested, or is the logs panel strictly Loki at the moment?

Just updated 6.4.1 and tried using as tables broke in update. Seems this indeed doesn’t work and neither does tables :stuck_out_tongue:

It seems it will be fixed with 6.4.2 …
see : https://github.com/grafana/grafana/issues/19531

i’m using grafana 6.4.3 now ,but seems Logs Panel does not work with elasticsearch(shows nothing),if i change visualization to tables (the data shows)

I think this is the following issue: https://github.com/grafana/grafana/issues/19789

I’m also having problems with Logs Panel (grafana 7.2.0) and ElasticSearch (5.4 in my case). I don’t know if it is related. A can only show one field: for example, the level field. But not logger, thread, message or other important fields.

See attached screenshot.

I think it’s related to the Log Panel.
Try to use Table Panel and you can show all the fields
