Hello,
I have data structured like the following:
X-Axis: Experiment 1 | 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 | Experiment 2 | 1 - 2 - 3
Y-Axis Corresponding Data
“Experiment 1” and “Experiment 2” are then only the separation for the data.
I wanted to use a time series plot in the beginning because I can use annotations there quite easily to describe more what happened in the specific experiment but I didnt really get it done the way I want it to be, like in the pic below
I tried using a continuous time axis and then re-labelling it with the corresponding numbers (1 - 2 3 - 4 | 1 - 2 - 3) but labelling doesnt seem to work, at least I didnt get it to work. Does anybody have recommendations or knows how to do this?
Also if I have multiple experiments and I want to only look at 2 or more specific ones, I will select this using variables. But then the issue is that I have huge gaps in between which I dont want. Does anybody there know how I can get rid of these gaps while maintaining the amount of information (which experiment it is and the annotations I possibly want to add)? This is also a huge issue I came across.
The application in the end is that I setup an experiment which automatically gathers sensor data which gets displayed but for analysis I then want to compare specific experiments via selecting them from variables for example but I havent been able to get that done. Any help is greatly appreciated!
