Hi, I am new to Grafana (edit. currently using 8.3.6 version, but I can upgrade to 8.4.x if requested), and am starting learning how to create Dashboards.
I’ve understood how to create variables and select their values from the top row (see green box).
I was wondering if there is a way to interact with an editable panel and pass the values of the editable fields (val1 and val2, see html code below) to Grafana variables.
It is not essential, but I would find it helpful to create a more flexible interface (I could put the editable panel everywhere, see the red box).
So far I’ve tried TEXT and AJAX panels, read some stuff from the web, but I haven’t understood whether it is possible or not.
Do you think it is doable? Any tips? Thanks a lot.
I see what you mean. But actually, what I wanted is something similar to the filters you can find at the top of the interface (green box in the screenshot above), just placedin another position to improve User Experience and Readability. Plus some action buttons that wuold give the user a more complete experience.
Not sure it is doable with Grafana; I came across the AJAX panel module, and I thought it could work. However, I am open to any alternative solution (if any feasible available).
