Grafana Alloy Not Scraping SNMP

Hello,

I am trying to use Grafana Cloud to collect SNMP from some network devices. It was working OK with grafana agent, but I tried to switch to Alloy and now I get no data.

Alloy is running on debian bullseye, in Azure and appears to be working (it’s installed, ‘monitoring’ in Grafana cloud shows no issue). My config is all autogenerated from within Grafana cloud, just changing target name/IP but there are no SNMP requests being sent.

When I go into Connections > SNMP and hit ‘test connection’ it tells me " No metrics were found for this integration." The troubleshooting page following that error says that either the agent didn’t start or it couldn’t communicate with prometheus, neither of which are true.

Can anyone suggest how I can debug this further?

Cheers,
Damien.

This was user error, I had the source_labels rule configured under ‘discovery.relabel’ when it should’ve been ‘prometheus.relabel’.

Thanks to Grafana’s cloud success team for pointing out my error.
