Google Cloud Monitoring not pulling GKE metrics

Didn’t know where else to post this since there is no subtopic for datasources or for the Google Cloud Monitoring plugin. We have the plugin installed in our environment and it is working. We are able to pull metrics from our SQL instances and our Cloud Compute resources. However, we are getting no metrics for any of our GKE clusters. When exploring metrics there are a literal ton of metrics shown in the drop-down for Kubernetes, but no data for any of them.

Is this a known issue? Does this have to do with using Autopilot clusters? Google’s own dashboards show us metrics just fine, so I’m at a loss as to why Grafana isn’t picking up any of those same metrics.

I am not familiar with this plugin but I did find this documentation where it explains how to set it up. Maybe that might be the cause of not getting metrics.
