Geomap panel no background

Hi,

I worked on a set of Grafana panels a few months ago and everything worked fine at that time concerning my geomap panels. However, I discovered when going back to the dashboard this week that the background showing the world map was gone, as shown below. We use Grafana 9.4.7 and we did not update it recently since the time the panel worked.

I can still zoom in and zoom out and interact with the panel as before.

I tried changing several options in the panel, including the layer type (Default base layer, Open street map, CARTO basemap), but nothing could bring the background back. I also tried to change from dark to light theme or to create a new panel from scratch.

I also had a look at the Grafana logs, but there’s nothing mentioning an issue with this panel.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

What happens if you do a hard refresh with Ctrl + F5 and/or open browser in incognito mode.

Hi @yosiasz, thank you for your reply.

I tried the hard refresh and the incognito mode, but it did not solve the issue.

However, I opened the console and noticed those error messages, one error per tile of the map to be displayed:

I found this related issue on Stackoverflow, but I’m not sure I can change any settings of the Grafana HTML.

As discussed in the Stackoverflow thread, we just needed to add more in the Content-Security-Policy: header in our Nginx configuration.

We added the following: blob: data: https://grafana.com https://*.basemaps.cartocdn.com"
