Hi, Does the k6 recorder, the chrome extension has a bug that it does not output script? I created an account and still do the see the script even after recording and saving.
Do you have to pay for it to use the k6 recorder? Thanks.
Hi Grafana K6 community, A response on this will be highly appreciated. Thanks.
Hi!
I’m going to try to help you as best I can.
The Grafana k6 Browser Recorder does not support generating a script directly. To get a script you would need to import the recording in your Grafana Cloud k6 stack. If you don’t have one already, then you can create one for free.
We have some docs explaining how it works, but in a gist you need to sign in to your Grafana stack in the extension, record a session and, when you’re taken to the " Save your recorded test" page, choose to use the Script editor.
Am I understanding you correctly that you have done all of these steps, but don’t get a script after clicking Save?
Yes, I had done all this and still didn’t get a scripts after clicking save button. This problem seems to be reported by several other users also on this community. Thanks.
Sorry for the late reply. I’ve been away on PTO.
I’m not able to reproduce the issue, so I’d need some additional information.
- Are you using Chrome or Firefox (I assumed Chrome, since you mention Chrome extension)?
- Could you open DevTools and see if there’s anything printed in the console after clicking save?
- Would it be possible for you to share a HAR-file of a recording that fails? You can get a copy by enabling the “Download HAR file” option while recording or open up the extension options and download an old one (recordings are cleared between browser restarts for security reasons, so it will only work if you haven’t restarted the browser).
Thank you!
