I run Grafana 9.2.2 on a Debian Linux machine and created several panels using data from an InfluxDB. So far so good. Currently I’m failing in having one dashboard with several Time Series Panels and use for Panel 1 e.g. a time range 3 months into the past, for Panel 2 e.g. a time range 7 days into the past and for Panel 3 the time range selected in the right upper corner of the Dashboard via the drop down.
What I achieved:
- Panel 3 is using the time range selected via the drop down in the right upper corner of the dash board → good
- Panel 1 and 2 are flickering between the time range selected via the drop down in the dashboard and the configured value in the query options (relative time) → bad
- is it the right place to configure fixed time range in the query options (relative time) of the Time Series panel?
- how to get rid of the flickering (sometimes the time range of relative time field is used for several seconds, sometimes only just for 1s)?
Here you see one of the panel in case it’s working (7 days time range):
Without any change in the config after some seconds the panel appears like this:
Sometimes it switches back to the right time range without any interaction, sometimes it helps to press the refresh button, sometimes it helps to just wait… I would appreciate any hint how to get rid of this flickering and having fixed time ranges for Panel 1 and 2. Maybe I misuse the Query option “Relative time”…
