Data Links on beta panels not working in 8.x

  • What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?
    8.0.3 on docker

  • What are you trying to achieve?
    Create a data link in the “Status History” panel, I also tried the new bar chart

  • How are you trying to achieve it?
    Navigate to “Data Link” and enter a URL

  • What happened?
    There’s no link showing and nothing happens when clicking in the visualisations. This is the case for all “beta” visualisations.

  • What did you expect to happen?
    Get a data link like in the other visualisations.

  • Did you follow any online instructions? If so, what is the URL?

It appears like this is showing in the UI but not yet enabled in the backend.

Hello,
Is this confirmed? I tried to use Data Links with beta of Bar Chart on v8.0.6, and I got nothing, indeed it looks like those are still disabled on betas?

I’m not sure if the teams have rolled out this functionality yet…
