Is there a way to create a custom unit, so instead of displaying the time as:
YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:ss I can just show the date as YYYY-MM-DD
Yes sure. Type any text in the unit picker and select the Custom: option. By default, the text will be used as a suffix unit. If you want a custom prefix, then type prefix: to make the custom unit appears before the value. If you want a custom SI unit (with auto SI suffixes), specify si:Ups .
I don’t really follow unfortunately Can you provide a concrete example of how I can change the date/time format as mentioned above?
Have you managed it?
I can’t create a custom date unit also.
Would be great if you can help me.
date:DD.MM.YYYY HH:mm:ss
does not work
You have to use the time:
prefix for custom date/time units for example:
time: DD/MM/YYYY
or
time: DD.MM.YYYY HH:mm:ss
See the video here: Date in table column in Grafana dashboard instead of date and time - #7 by grant2
Thank you. It worked!
