Creating a Line of 1 Data stream but a tool tip with 2 sets of data

  • What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?

  • What are you trying to achieve?
    I am trying to achieve a one line graph over time but the tool tip has 2 data values in it.
    I have time, an Identifier value, and a rate value.

  • How are you trying to achieve it?
    By setting
    ToolTip > Tooltip Mode to all
    AND
    Override 1
    Series > Hide in area, hiding the viz

  • What happened?
    The Identifier Line Disappears from the chart but so does the value in the tooltip

  • What did you expect to happen?
    What I expected to happen is the line to disappear for Identifier but the value to remain in the tooltip when hovering over points in the rate line.

  • Can you copy/paste the configuration(s) that you are having problems with?
    I can provide if someone provides guidance where to go. This is my first time working with grafana

    No Errors

    No online instructions. Just me poking around in the dark trying to figure this out as all my searches didnt turn up what im hoping for
