Can i use a different cloud service than "Grafana Cloud"?

If not can i just use an earlier version that doesn’t make me dependent on grafana´s cloud service?
Or do i have to pay for the enterprise option?

Yes for all questions. You can use any cloud provider also and stick to one version, but why?
