Can Bar Gauge NOT display the number?

  • What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?
    v10.0.3 (eb8dd72637)

  • What are you trying to achieve?
    The following Bar Gauge but without the value displayed as a number at the top.

Yes, just select the “Never” option in show values

That put me on the right track. It is amazing to me how many different appearances the grafana setting menus have. This makes finding accurate tutorials very difficult. Here is what my options menu shows:

some of the options depends on the type of graph. I took a screenshot on a column panel instead it was not gauge (my bad), but the options should be similar enough also I had Grafana 9.4.

anyway, I believe it’s kind of intuitive once you start poking around, you will find an option for pretty much everything.

Thanks. I don’t disagree that it is largely intuitive. I think I am just often missing a few base concepts (seems each app has its own way of doing things) and until I crack the code on what I am missing, I find myself “poking around” for days without getting where I need to go.

That is partly how we all get to some level of expertise along with reading the documentation. And there is no shame asking here if you hit a wall
