Hi, can we send alert notifications when use variable in our flux query in dashboard, Because we are facing a issue when processing it.

The query used in an alert rule cannot contain any template variables.

Sure, create panel/query for each variable value, so you won’t need dashboard variable at all → no problem for alerting.

Generally, Grafana is visualization tool first. Alerting is not a strong point, so if Grafana alerting doesn’t fit for your use case, then you should use another alerting. E.g. InfluxDB offers alerting itself Create monitoring checks in InfluxDB | InfluxDB OSS 2.0 Documentation

But alert mail is not working in InfluxDB v2.0 and I’ve tried it.
If you worked in Influx v2 alert mail can you please send a sample task in influx and walk me through it.
