Alerts continue Firing and getting stored in InfluxDB during 'No Data' periods on Grafana v12.3.1

Hello,

I am currently using Grafana v12.3.1 with InfluxDB as my data source. I am facing an issue where alert rules continue to fire even when my data-producing machines are powered off. When the machines are off, there is zero data being written to InfluxDB. Despite this “No Data” state, Grafana continues to trigger “Firing” alerts via my webhook. My receiver script is recording alerts like NORMAL or WARNING even though the machine is inactive.

Is there a known issue in this version where “Firing” states persist if the machine is inactive?

try this for no data
