Adding Queries on Panel using different Variable Datasources

Hi,

  • What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?
    8.3.3
    Windows 10

  • What are you trying to achieve?
    Creating a Table panel that has 2 SQL Queries I want to merge, and using different Datasources on each - Datasources are Variables.

  • How are you trying to achieve it?
    I created the Variables, and I can see them in the top/main Datasource selection for the panel. So I select “Mixed”. Then I go to each Query and try to select the desired Variable.

  • What happened?
    None of the DS Variables are showing when trying to select on Query.

  • What did you expect to happen?
    To see the Variables and select them.

  • Can you copy/paste the configuration(s) that you are having problems with?
    This is where I select “Mixed” and can see the variables:

And this is when trying to select them on Query after selecting Mixed - Variables should be on top of list, but I checked the whole list and none are there:

  • Did you receive any errors in the Grafana UI or in related logs? If so, please tell us exactly what they were.
    No errors.

I may be missing something, but can’t find what that is yet.

Thanks for opening this post.

Instead of selecting “Mixed” select “Dashboard” and see if that works.
