Websocket ping event not firing

The example on this page did not work for me. I expected to see “A ping happened” output to the console but did not.

I don’t get “A ping happened” message either. Although I think the example is working, just echo-server never sends a ping message.

Thanks for reporting this! As @bandorko correctly stated, the echo-server never sends a ping, and that makes the example confusing. We created this issue to update the documentation Update experimental WebSocket onping example · Issue #1469 · grafana/k6-docs · GitHub.
