Using Ask Grot AI undefined

Hi

I have tried on several occasions to use “Ask Grot AI” and each time I get a reply back from Grot AI saying “undefined”.

I have even tried copying question other people have asked of Grot AI and I still get the same response.

What if anything am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance

It works for me, so I would say your browser is a problem. Some plugin/extension/brower security configs can block it, … Check browser console for errors, try different browser, disable all plugins/extensions,…

hey @andrewshaw2 seen. Sorry you’re having this problem. Like @jangaraj I can say it does work for me too so I can’t replicate the issue – but I work with some of the devs that back this service so I can try to report it as a bug to them, see if we can have them look into it to debug – I’ll do that today.

Hi @davidallen5 and @jangaraj

Thank you for the replies and the suggestion.

@jangaraj I have tried a different browser and disabled the few plugins I have but there is no difference I staill get the same issue of an undefined response.

However I have found that if I make an RDP session to another server (rather then my laptop) then when I use Ask Grot AI and ask the self same question I get a reply back.

This makes me think that this may have some thing to do with the tight security settings on my laptop which are preventing Got AI from working properly. I will discuss this with our Cyber Security department and see what they say.

@davidallen5 so this may not be a bug but a cyber security setting applied to my laptop and its connection to the network.

I will update accordingly

Thanks in advance

I did talk to some of the devs and they suspected the same, for what it’s worth, sorry this isn’t of more help.

ask the user if they have any extensions installed on their browser that may be blocking access to the Kapa API. The “undefined” itself would be coming from the code that would be powering Grot, which means that it does not have the information from Kapa to show. Given that this is only affecting a single user, it would lead us to believe it’s a local issue, like an extension.

Hi @davidallen5 Thanks for checking with the devs. that is appreciated.

I am able to use the community Ask AI section and that works out fine so at least I am able to get some help via AI if needed.

Thanks for your support and help
