Using a variable in a Table panel "Filter by name" transformation expression

Is it possible to use a variable in a Table panel “Filter by name” transformation expression? For example, if a Table has column names 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and I have a variable “var” whose value is 5, is it possible to use “var” in the “Filter by name” transformation? I’ve tried /$var}/, /${var:regex}/, and /${var:raw}/ but none have worked.

I have a panel that needs to display a subset of data from another panel, based on the value of a Client variable.
