  • What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?

  • What are you trying to achieve?
    I am trying to to simulate a dashboard that uses a timerange based on ‘now’ with an autorefresh period, but with static data. My dataset includes both tabular data and photos (which are displayed in a Dynamic Image Panel) so it is difficult to simulate the data
    For example, the dashboard has the following in the URL

from=now-5m&to=now&refresh=5s

Ideally, I would like to set the fake ‘now’ time, and have an option to ‘play’ in real-time, or perhaps with a factor e.g 2x, 4x etc

  • How are you trying to achieve it?
    I have tried to generate a series of URLs, and also using semi-relative time-ranges- but can’t get it to work- the time range for the data I’m trying to simulate is fixed, but need to simulate it at various times e.g to present to others

You are using relative time with that “now”, but you can use absolute time (real datetime instead of now) there as well. You can simulate any time in the past or in the future with absolute time range.
