Provisioning contact points

I am using Grafana 8.2.4 and want to switch to Grafana 8 alerts. Opting in as described in the docs worked fine.
However, provisioning notification channels as described here does not work any more and a “grafana-default-email” contact point is created instead.
Is there a possibility to provision contact points in a similar way?

I met the same issue, the notifiers.yml is mounted in /etc/grafana/provisioning/notifiers/ directory, but the contact points didn’t load it in Grafana Ui interface. Is this a bug?

When upgrading from Grafana 7 to 8 or 9 its not keeping the notification channel and the provisioning documentation is still outdated.
Also my alerts were not migrated, they are just gone.

Found this now which seems to work as expected:

Will post in the other other thread in case I am seeing issues with this new API.
