Pervasive SQL support?

I have an ERP that uses Pervasive SQL. Is there a way to crowbar grafana into using pervasive data source?

AFAIK Pervasive SQL is compatible with PostgreSQL so you can use it as a datasource.

I thought so too, but everytime I try to add the data source on port 1583 (pervasive port) it hangs all the actual clients.

Anyone have any exp with what I am doing wrong or how to make this work?

Confirming that when I try to connect Grafana to the Pervasive db on port 1583 - it actually hangs the engine and the Pervasive service needs to be restarted.

Halp?!
