I’m looking into using Grafana to chart Prometheus data about kubernetes and application metrics using Telegraf.
For alerts, rather than learn AlertManager for Prometheus and Kapacitor or whatever the influxdb alert is, it makes sense to me that Grafana could be a huge help in doing alerts.
What is the opinion here on whether this is ready for prime time? I have some doubts since I just wanted to create an alert for a single stat, and I couldn’t do it. So I suppose I need to create a dashboard using only metrics panels, from which I can create my alerting?
