How to use non unicode subscripts in axis labels?

    10.3.1 running inside a docker container

  • What are you trying to achieve?
    Add a non unicode subscript to a axis label or panal title.

  • How are you trying to achieve it?
    I tried using html tags e.g. a<sub>b</sub>

  • What happened?
    The html is not rendered and shown as plain text.

  • What did you expect to happen?
    I hoped to get a subscript.
