How to remove string from metrics

Query example: CPU utilization for all group members

All group members get pulled in with their FQDN servername.domain.tld

I would like to remove .domain.tld from their names.

How do I do it? I presume I’d have to use an Alias function, which I haven’t succeeded with yet.

I am able to setAlias when monitoring a single host, but not when monitoring a host group (since it just renames each host).

I have learned how to use ‘Replace Alias’ to replace something like ‘.domain.local’ with blank.

Could you share your solution? The replaceAlias is not well documented.
