as per Video Scheduling - YouTube he did popup screen to edit certain event and update DB as well

I would say he is not really using pristine Grafana but some plugin developed by/for Spruik Technologies (cf https://www.guru.com/jobs/grafana-custom-plugin-development/1510681&ItemNo=11&SearchUrl=search.aspx?)
