How to define dashboard variable as a subset of another variable?

• What Grafana version and what operating system are you using?
  Grafana 8.1.3

• What are you trying to achieve?
  I have a Custom variable with predefined set of values. This variable is multi-value and I can select a subset of the values from the list. I need to repeat the row for SOME of the selected values and ignore the rest even if the value is selected.

• How are you trying to achieve it?
  I’m trying to create a variable derived from the first one, and use it for repeating the panels/rows.

• What happened?
  So far I don’t know how to achieve the task.
